How many reps / how long to hold stabilise exercises for

I have been starting to work on stabilise exercises with some of my clients and was wondering what the optimum number of reps for each exercise is and if you are to hold the end range of each movement for a certain number of seconds, e.g. leg lift, leg lenthening, etc
