Pilates v's Stabilise??

It is common in the Pilates/Biomechanics Coaching (BC) cross over for Kubler-Ross to re-surface.

When returning to life as a Pilates instructor the challenge of 'how it all fits together' may return. So I would like to instigate a thread for the purpose of this discussion.

OK so when I first embarked on the ITS courses, I had presumed that this would slide in easily with what I currently teach in class and privately, how wrong I was!

Most of my classes have been running for a few years now with probably 80% of the original members still with me, so to suddenly revert back to what in their eyes may be very easy exercises, that they can barely feel, has been a challenge. I started to introduce a couple of anti-spasms into the classes, but it almost felt like there was a deathly silence whilst they performed their releases, but they are coming round to my way of thinking now and so on their last class before the Jubilee holiday recently, I decided to put together a whole hour of IMF stuff, I even added a LLD demo at the end, released pec minor and the magic worked (phew!) they were all very keen to find out more and I had several texts and emails to say how much they had enjoyed it. So, even if they are coming to you for a "workout" and you give them something different, as long as they feel and see the difference then I am sure they will continue to be regular clients.

This is still a work in progress and so would love to share with other Pilates peeps...

Great feedback Tor, we've had loads of Pilates teachers on our courses so as the forum gets more popular, this will be a hot topic!
