When I was on the module 1 course I did a screen with the girl I was staying with (she is an amateur cyclist).  I did the 4-sign and leg press with her.  The next day she went cycling the next day and said "thigh muscles were REALLY SORE on Sunday when I was cycling - never had that before".  Could these exercises have had this affect on her?

Hi,  anything is possible, so it is possible that the exervises had that effect.  if they did then it was because the pelvis was becoming better aligned (therefore aligned differently) and it takes the body time to adapt sometimes.  imagine cycling with a longer crank shaft on one pedal than the other, it would certainly affect load on the quads, so it can present by changing the pelvic orientation and therefore the leg length,  the body will adapt given time.

Thanks

So we shouldn't be too alarmed if people have pain or discomfort after the exercises as the body is getting used to being better aligned?

Absolutely, as long as its muscular soreness (DOMS or stiffness) then its fine and should setttle.

If it is joints that are uncomfortable, then a dull aching is also fine and should settle.

Any more than this becomes more concerning.
