With a leg length discrepency the leg which is shorter is generally caused by the hip on that side being posteriorly tilted. Drawing the femur in that leg up and back? Of course, vis-a-versa would be true, the opposite leg could appear longer because the hip is tilted anteriorly having the femur be forward and down? This is my understanding, any clarifications or other reasonings would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jonathan
